Cuse Pit Crew offers free humane education presentations in schools and community centers, teaching students empathy, compassion, and the humane treatment of animals. Their interactive lessons, tailored to grade levels, cover topics like dog safety, pit bull misconceptions, and spaying/neutering, with the goal of fostering kindness and responsibility in young people.
Taking Proactive measures
Cuse Pit Crew is pleased to offer free humane education presentations in local schools and community centers. Given the prevalence of violence in society today, it is more crucial than ever to instill compassion, empathy, and tolerance in young people. Research in humane education suggests that children’s compassion towards animals is related to their empathy towards humans. Additionally, NYS Education Law (Article 17, Section 809) requires that elementary students be taught about the humane treatment of animals.
Cuse Pit Crew offers humane education lessons that are tailored to the specific grade levels and needs of the students. We offer lessons for grades Pre-K – 12 that focus on a variety of topics, including safe interactions with dogs, compassionate treatment of animals, the misconceptions about pit bulls, and the importance of spay and neuter. Each grade level has a series of three lessons that provide fun and interactive learning. As a culminating activity, we can also bring in a therapy dog to visit with the students and practice what they have learned!
